Band

Mark

Bass

mark Mark started playing the bass seriously when the mindsetters first got together in early 2006. Also plays the guitar, piano and fiddle.

Enjoys listening to a wide variety of rock music, which is well represented in the mindsetters playlist, rarely loses plectrums and is a big fan of Ampeg and Fender.

Jon

Guitar

jon Jon has been playing the guitar for far too long, buying his first guitar and amp for £40 in 1984. Despite over 20 years experience the only scales he knows are the ones in his kitchen and bathroom, of which there is a direct link between the usage of the two! Brought up on an eclectic mix of music his instincts always drew him back to the poodle hair and lycra bands of the 80’s that was Stadium Rock!

An owner of all the t-shirts of the bands that are now reforming hoping to target his hard earned wages again, Jon has had no success with any of the bands he’s been in and he doesn’t see that run of luck changing soon.

Jon’s favorite colour is purple.

Brendan

Drums

brendan Youngest member of the band, aged 18. Started playing drums at school and received 4 years tuition with the music teacher and Russel Gair. First band played in with school mates was called Korruption.

Likes Iron Maiden, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers and retro rock masters like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Free, Deep Purple.

Geoff

Vocals

geoff Started singing in a college band 33 years ago but has not done anything since. The play list spans 5 decades and Geoff is the only member of the band who can remember the earlier numbers when they were first released.

Personal favorite music is blues-driven rock, but also likes a lot of contemporary rock sounds.

David

Guitar

David Priest Coventry:
ex Naughty Fido (1974-76)
ex Polar Bears (1981)

Leeds:
ex Monotones (1977)

Germany:
ex B#’s (1998-2001)
ex Little Lisa (2006-2008)

There’s a theme here…

David has found the guitar a challenge but now at least holds it the right way round, or so he thinks.

David’s moto is “I’ve suffered for my music, now its your turn”
